SPOT-ON TIGERS LEAD THE CHARGE

HULL, Stoke, Brentford and Bournemouth claimed Premier League scalps as EFL clubs lined up some tasty Carabao Cup third round ties.
Hull overcame a two-division gap to beat Leeds 9-8 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Mallik Wilks fired the Tigers ahead with just five minutes played, but Marcelo Bielsa’s men took it to spot-kicks when Ezgjan Alioski levelled in stoppage time. In a dramatic shoot-out, Alfie Jones netted the winner to earn the League One side a trip to West Ham.
