Coleman’s impressed by ‘stoic’ Stanley

ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman was a happy man after seeing his side get the new season off to a winning start against Colchester United.
Goals from Kayden Jackson, Billy Kee and Omar Beckles put Stanley in command at the Wham Stadium, before substitute Sammie Szmodics grabbed a late consolation for the U’s.
Coleman said: “All in all, it was a very good day at the office and pleasing to get the three points.
“It would have been nice to have kept it 3-0 but you have to give Colchester their due.
