WAITING GAME FOR SHAKERS ACE NICKY

NICKY Maynard has not been paid for two months and has no idea if he will get what he’s due – yet the experienced striker remains keen to stay at cash-strapped Bury next season.
Like neighbours Bolton, the Shakers are in financial peril. They are due in the High Court on Wednesday facing a winding-up petition following a £277,000 unpaid HMRC bill.
The players have been paid on time just once all season yet the squad – led by manager Ryan Lowe, below – put that to one side en route to promotion from League Two.
