GEORGE Honeyman fulfilled a childhood dream by scoring his first goal for Sunderland – and has promised there is more to come, writes Andy Edwards.
Honeyman is the only boyhood Sunderland fan in Simon Grayson’s squad and realises the importance of getting the Black Cats back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
The 22-year-old midfielder from Prudhoe scored the winner in Thursday’s Carabao Cup tie against Bury, but he knows the key is to start winning games in the Championship.
