FORMER Reading owner Sir John Madejski has been appointed the Royals’ new vice-chairman.
Reading enjoyed swathes of success, including a first-ever promotion to the top tier of English football in 2006, under the ownership of Madjeski – who took over the club in 1990 before selling it to Anton Zingarevich in 2012.
In May this year, Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li bought the Royals and appointed Ron Gourlay as chief executive, a role he formerly held at Chelsea.
