FORMER Real Madrid academy defender Niall Mason has left Aston Villa to join Doncaster Rovers on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Darren Ferguson’s League Two promotionwinners and has signed a two-year deal at the Keepmoat Stadium.
“I had a couple of options to go a bit higher up the pyramid, but this is a great platform for me,” said Mason. “I am working with a manager and coaching staff who know my game inside out and can get the best out of me.”
