Team-mates: Barnet midfielder Curtis Weston

Best mate at the club?

I drive in with them every day, so I can’t pick one – Bondz N’Gala, John Akinde, and Gavin Hoyte. We come in together, so they are probably the ones I’m closest to.

Last to buy dinner?

John Akinde, without a shadow of a doubt. He’s one of the tightest men I have ever met and that’s the truth!

FIFA King?

I don’t really play FIFA, but from what I have heard it’s between John Akinde and Mauro Vilhete. I don’t get involved, but I have banter with them when they owe each other money. I think John is just on top, from what I’m hearing at the moment.

Worst dressed?

The trickiest dresser is probably John Akinde, especially with his trainers. He’s got some of the worst trainers you will ever see. He has had them for years and years. I wouldn’t mind, but I think he goes out of his way to buy a bad pair. They get called ‘pitta bread’ because they are long, flat and horrible.

Dressing room DJ?

Shaun Batt thinks he’s the governor, but really it’s Andy Yiadom and Graham Stack. When it comes to the crunch, it’s those two. They like house and something to get us going.

Late for training?

Nobody is really late because the gaffer, Martin Allen, would have a go. Everyone is there unless there’s an accident because, if you are late, the gaffer won’t play you. The manager is pretty strict with stuff like that.

Teacher’s pet?

Andy Yiadom. He’s like the son of the gaffer. At Christmas he writes him cards. The manager also gets an Easter egg and birthday cards. He’s the gaffer’s favourite by far.

Worst cook?

I don’t really have any of the boys’ food. If I had to guess, it would probably be Sam Muggleton. I can’t imagine him cooking up anything appetising.

First on the dance floor?

It would probably be Andy Yiadom. He’s got some moves, so he will get the party started. He moves OK, but he definitely doesn’t set the place alight, though he has enough to get by. Luke Gambin has all the moves and he’s the best dancer.

Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party?

I would probably say Togs, Sam Togwell. Once he’s had a couple, he can get a bit lively and might embarrass himself.

Worst tattoo?

I can’t really picture any bad tattoos. Elliot Johnson has just got a sleeve done and he’s absolutely buzzing with it. I don’t mind it. It looks OK. . He thinks it’s a 9/10, but it’s a steady seven.

Partial to a sunbed?

Tom Champion. He looks like he doesn’t mind a sunbed, Graham Stack too. I know Stacky does, but I don’t know if Champion does. I look at him and I think he probably does. Michael Gash should be on them. He’s literally a ghost.

Going to make the best manager?

I think you have two. Graham Stack would be good and Michael Nelson. They are the oldest and keep an eye on youngsters coming through.

WALSALL have wobbled recently, but who doesn’t over the course of a 46-game season? It’s not about trying to be perfect. That’s impossible. The reality is that if you’re a club in League Two, you probably don’t have the depth or the finance to refresh your squad. Manager Mat Sadler...
