Harris focused on Wimbledon win as Robinson returns to Millwall

Millwall boss Neil Harris has made it clear there is no room for friendships tonight as his team face Wimbledon and returning legend Paul Robinson.

Defender Robinson made 362 appearances for the Lions, and registered his name in the club’s folklore when he netted the winner in the 2010 League One play-off final, but Harris is purely focused on an important three points.

The Lions boss told the club’s website:”I really look forward to his return tonight and I hope he gets the reception he deserves.

“AFC Wimbledon are a hard working team, they get the ball forward and have done really well. It’s going to be a fiery London derby and a good test for us.

“Robbo is a warrior at the back, he’s extremely tough to play against and we will have to be at our best.”

Saturday saw the Lions lose away at Bolton, with goals from Josh Vela and Tom Thorpe ending Millwall’s five match unbeaten run, and Harris is keen for his side to get back to winning ways.

However, with Wimbledon only tasting defeat once in their last ten games, at home to Bradford, Harris knows what a tough task it could be, especially with strikers Steve Morrison ruled out and Lee Gregory struggling with injury.

“We will have to see how Lee fares before kick-off, but if he’s not fit then it opens the door for someone else to come in.

“I am looking for a strong reaction from my players tonight and we will have to be focused and feisty to get a good result.”
