Deji Oshilaja re-joins Gillingham on loan

Gillinham have re-signed signed defender Deji Oshilaja  on loan from Cardiff until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old featured 15 times for the Gills during a loan spell with the club at the beginning of the season.

Oshilaja is yet to make a league appearance for Cardiff but has had productive loan spells with Newport County, Sheffield Wednesday and AFC Wimbledon in the past.

The Bermondsey born defender told Gillingham’s official club website, “I’m happy to be back. The lads have kept the team in a good position in the league, and hopefully we can really kick on.

“It was great to see the lads again in the training this morning, everybody was buzzing, there was a lot of banter going on.”

The Gills ended a run of four games without victory by beating relegation threatened Crewe at Priestfield on Saturday. Justin Edinburhgh’s side are now sitting in 3rd place in the League One table and are three points off the automatic promotion places.

Gillingham face a trip to Southend on Saturday.
