FOOTBALLS aren’t the only thing taking a kicking at Burton’s Pirelli Stadium – Covid-19 is also getting the boot!
The League One ground is being used as a vaccine centre and, since January, an army of GPs and volunteers have doled out an incredible 149,000 jabs.
“We just wanted to help in any way we could,” said Brewers chairman Ben Robinson, who had previously offered the club’s car park as a testing centre in the early months of the pandemic.
