Luke Williams to stay as Swindon boss until the end of the season

Swindon Town have announced that Luke Williams will stay on as caretaker manager until the end of the season.

Williams has taken charge of The Robins since Martin Ling’s resignation in December and has won his first two matches as caretaker manager.

Swindon Chairman, Lee Power told the club’s official website,: “After long conversations with Luke, I’m delighted to say that he has agreed to take the job until the end of the season.

“We will then sit down and discuss the possibility of him taking the job on a longer-term basis.”

Williams was previously in charge of the Under 21 side at Brighton and Hove Albion before becoming First Team Coach at Swindon ahead of the 2013/14 season.

Swindon are currently sitting in 14th place in League One and face a difficult trip to Sheffield United on Saturday.
