Aidy White joins Barnsley permanently

Aidy White has signed a deal with Barnsley until the end of the season following his release by Rotherham.

White only joined Rotherham in the summer but has been on loan at Oakwell since Novemeber.

The 24-year-old told Barnsley’s official club website, “I’m pleased to get it all sorted and can’t wait to get going again. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and we’ve picked up some good results.

“We’ve got a good side here and I’m sure we will climb the league even more and we have a great shot at reaching Wembley.”

After a difficult start to the season Lee Johnson’s Barnsley have only lost one of their last five league games and have risen up to 17th place in League One.

The Tykes face Fleetwood in the Johnsotne’s Paint Trophy area final tomorrow.
