Fulham complete signing of highly-rated striker Kamara

Fulham have completed the signing of highly-rated French forward Aboubakar Kamara on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old starred for former club Amiens last season, scoring 11 goals as the Picardy club dramatically sealed their place in Ligue 1 thanks to a 96th minute winner on the final day of the season.

While most effective operating as a striker, the explosive Frenchman can also be deployed as a winger, and he will provide some much-needed goal threat as the Cottagers hope to amend last season’s play-off heartbreak during the upcoming campaign.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Kamara said: “I am delighted to have completed my transfer to Fulham today.

“Fulham is a Club with a fantastic history and tradition, and I’m looking forward to bringing my qualities to help the team and achieve success.”

Kamara began his career on the French riviera, coming through the ranks at Monaco to enjoy a prolific spell with the club’s B team, before making his first-team bow against Lyon in September 2014.

At the end of that season, the forward joined Belgian Pro League side KV Kortrijk, before returning to France a year later to link up with second division Amiens.
