Luton bring in Paul Hart as assistant manager

 Luton manager Nathan Jones has named former Portsmouth boss Paul Hart as his new assistant.The pair previously worked together at Charlton Athletic and Jones has explained how Hart acted as a “mentor” to him during this time.

Hart expressed his delight at joining the coaching set up at Kenilworth Road, telling Luton’s official club website, “It feels great to be here. I’ve been looking forward to this and I feel very lucky.

“I’ve had 45 Years in football and to come to a prestigious club like Luton, especially in this position as assistant manager is great, I’m very lucky.”

The 62-year-old had a successful playing career where he made over 100 appearances for Leeds and Blackpool, before he turned his attentions to coaching.

Hart has managed nine different clubs and has most recently been Academy Director at Charlton, Notts County and Leeds.

Luton are currently sitting in 14th place in League Two and will want to finish the season on a high when they face fellow mid table side Exeter City on Sunday.
