Swindon and Millwall fined by FA

Swindon and Millwall have been fined by the Football Association for failing to control their players in an incident during their 2-2 draw at the County Ground.

The game reached boiling point in the 67th minute with the score at 2-1 to Millwall, when both sides confronted each other.

Swindon Town have received a £15,000 fine, while the Lions will pay up £5,000 as punishment.

In what was Luke Williams’ first match in charge after being given by job permanently, the Robins fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a point late on thanks to a Michael Doughty equaliser in the 94th minute.

In addition to the fines, both clubs have also been warned by the FA’s Independent Regulatory Commission about their future conduct.
