Sam Hoskins commits to new deal at Northampton

Sam Hoskins has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half year contract with Northampton Town.

The 23-year-old has played a role in the Cobblers’ remarkable dominance of League Two this season, with the club currently 10 points at the top of the table.

Hoskins came through the Southampton academy but left for Yeovil in 2013. In his two years with the Glovers Hoskins made 31 appearances scoring one goal.

He joined Norhampton in the summer on an initial one year deal and has impressed enough to be given an extended contract.

Northampton boss Chris Wilder told the club’s official website, “Sam is a young player who has played a big part this season, he has a lot of potential and we are delighted he has committed to the club for the next two and a half years

“In any squad you need a balance and we have an exciting group of young players who have the potential to develop and grow further with us.”
