Blackpool sign Will Aimson on a permanent deal

Blackpool have completed the permanent singing of defender Will Aimson from Hull for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old has made six starts for the Seasiders since joining Blackpool on loan back in November. He has now put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Aimson was signed by Hull from non-league Eastleigh in 2014 after impressing during a trial. As well as spending time on loan at Blackpool, he has also had temporary stints with Tamworth and Tranmere.

Blackpool manager Neil McDonald spoke of his delight at the transfer, telling the club’s official website, “We’ve worked hard behind the scenes to secure his signature for the long-term and I’m delighted that the deal is now done

“He’s a good, young defender with lots of potential and we’ll try and get that potential out of him as much as we possibly can.”

Blackpool are currently sitting in 21st place in League One, one point adrift from safety. McDonald’s side face Scunthorpe at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
