NORTHAMPTON got their campaign off to a promising start with a penalty shoot-out success against Arsenal U21s on Tuesday night.
The young Gunners had Tobi Omole sent off for two bookable offences just after the hour, but they took the lead in the Southern Group H clash through James Olayinka on 78 minutes.
Sam Hoskins cracked home a stunning volley four minutes later to level things up and the Cobblers bagged an extra point when they won the penalty shoot-out that followed the 90 minutes 4-3.
