FAST START VITAL, SAYS BANNAN

BARRY Bannan has warned Sheffield Wednesday they can’t repeat their slow start from the past two seasons if they are to achieve promotion.
The Owls lost on the opening day last weekend against Preston – and Bannan, 27, is already concerned.
Last season, Wednesday finished comfortably in the play-offs, but a slow start hurt their chances of a top-two finish.
“It’s something we are really looking to address this season,” the midfielder said.
“Hopefully, we are not looking back at the end of the season regretting the start we have made.”
