Portstmouth VS Mansfield and Northampton VS Stevenage

A look ahead to two important games in League Two this weekend…..

Portsmouth VS Mansfield

Portsmouth face Mansfield in a top of the table clash at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Pompey have had a fantastic start to the season and are currently sitting in 2nd place having only lost one league game all season.

Paul Cook’s side are unbeaten at Fratton Park this season so will certainly fancy their chances of victory on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mansfield have also had a good start to the season and are currently flying high in 4th place.

Adam Murray’s side will come into the game high on confidence having won four of their last five league games.

With both sides on form, this promises to be an enticing encounter.

The home side are set to be without Adam McGurk, Jayden Stockley and Jack Whatmough who are all injured. Whilst, Gareth Evans serves the final game of his three match suspension.

Mansfield are set to welcome veteran defender Nicky Hunt back into the side. However Krystian Pearce misses out after being shown a red card in Tuesday’s victory over Yeovil.

Northampton VS Stevenage

Despite their financial troubles off the pitch, Northampton have had a decent start to the season and are currently placed inside the play-off places.

Chris Wilder’s men have only lost once in their last eight games and recorded an entertaining 3-2 victory over Carlisle on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Stevenage have looked far from comfortable this season.

Teddy Sherringham’s side have slipped to 20th place in the table and are in desperate need of an away win, having failed to gain a single win away from Broadhall Way this season.

Northampton are set to be without Ryan Cresswell who was forced off in the game against Carlisle.

Wilder is also without suspended midfielder Lawson D’Ath.

As for Stevenage, Steven Schumacher could return to the first-team having completed his one game suspension.

Whilst injured trio Chris Whelpdale, Ronnie Henry and Connor Ogilvie are all doubtful.
