Josh Clarke joins Barnet on loan

By Hugo Varley

Barnet have signed midfielder Josh Clarke on a loan deal from Brentford until 3 January.

The 21-year-old progressed through the academy at Brentford and has made seven first team appearances for the West London club.

Clarke already has League Two experience having spent time on loan at both Dagenham and Stevenage last season.

Brentford manager Lee Carsley told the club’s official website: “This will give him the chance to play regularly and deal with the physical and mental pressures of league games.

“We have a good relationship with Barnet and we know they will help him improve. We want to build relationships with other local clubs in the future.”

Barnet are currently in 21st place in League Two and face York on Saturday.
