IT’S often said the football season is a marathon not a sprint – and that looks like being even more so the case this year. Some of last week’s opening fixtures in the EFL ended up being so long that they ended up approaching the time it takes for a match with extra-time! The game between third tier newcomers Northampton and Stevenage led the way, clocking in at 112 minutes and 36 seconds.
