McGugan gets his shot in United hotseat

Former Football League star Lewis McGugan has expressed his delight at taking joint-charge of home-town team Long Eaton United.
The Blues kicked off life in Southern Premier Central at Leamington yesterday following a tumultuous week. Boss Ian Deakin, who led the club to back-to-back promotions, and his management team were surprisingly sacked on Tuesday.
Former Mansfield keeper Deakin admitted he was ‘saddened and disappointed’ with the way his time at Grange Park came to an end.
