Hats off to Vincent and his Clarets
WHEN Burnley appointed Vincent Kompany last summer, there were those who wondered if the Manchester City legend had made the right move.
Relegated from the Premier League and with financial troubles to contend with, the Clarets didn’t look the best of propositions.
In addition, many experts felt Kompany would have his work cut out changing Burnley’s footballing identity from the direct style employed, and successfully carried out, by his predecessor Sean Dyche for so long.
