DELIGHTED boss Paul Warne praised veteran striker David McGoldrick after he played a pivotal role in Derby’s 2-0 home success against Cheltenham.
Following their 4-1 reverse at Barnsley last weekend, the Rams were hungry to get back to winning ways, but didn’t find it easy to break down lowly Cheltenham.
Fortunately, McGoldrick, 35, was able to make the difference. He smashed a shot home from 12 yards to break the deadlock two minutes before the break and ease the tension at Pride Park.
