CLARETS’ KOMPANY TAKES THE ACCLAIM

BURNLEY’S Vincent Kompany, Plymouth’s Steven Schumacher and Walsall’s Michael Flynn have scooped the Sky Bet EFL Manager of the Month awards for October.
Kompany’s Clarets amassed 18 points from eight unbeaten games to move top of the Championship.
The former Manchester City defender, 36, said: “I’m delighted to win this award, up against some great managers. I would like to thank all the players and my staff.

It was a good month for us, but the hard work continues.”
