BLUEBIRDS BOOST AS CANAVAN COMMITS HIS FUTURE

BARROW have received a boost with the news that captain Niall Canavan has signed a new two-year deal.
There is also an option of a further year in the 31-year-old defender’s contract.
Bluebirds boss Pete Wild has expressed his delight at keeping Canavan for the long term and believes he has a major role to play.
“Niall is an impeccable leader and an integral part of this football club” said Wild. “He is a true role model on and off the field, and helps our younger players with their development.
