CHANGE – OR CLUBS COULD DIE

THE majority of football clubs are ‘living on a precipice’ and in danger of a fatal fall, according to clubs’ coalition Fair Game.
The organisation –a group of 34 clubs across the EFL and Non-League fighting for a fairer distribution of football’s wealth, among other things – have released figures that reveal over half of the top 92 clubs were technically insolvent in 2020.
Of 85 clubs who filed accounts for 2020, 44 (52 per cent) were technical insolvent. Bury and Macclesfield were among the seven who did not file accounts, along...
