JACK Whatmough believes Wigan Athletic’s impressive challenge on three fronts has justified his conviction that a summer move to the DW Stadium was a risk worth taking.
The Latics will move comfortably clear at the top of the League One table if they capitalise on their games in hand and are also in the quarter-finals of the Papa John’s Trophy and the fourth round of the FA Cup after dumping out Championship neighbours Blackburn.
