Cup has still got that old magic touch
WOW! We hoped the FA Cup would deliver yesterday – and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
The old competition sometimes gets a bit of a kicking, especially when the big boys field heavily weakened teams, but it can still produce the drama that we all love so much.
It seemed an even longer day of cup thrills with games kicking off at all hours. What a performance from Mark Bonner’s Cambridge United, who dumped out top-flight Newcastle thanks to Joe Ironside’s goal.
That will be a victory everyone associated with the League ...
