Gilbey backs caretaker

DETERMINED midfielder Alex Gilbey says he and his teammates will do everything in their power to help caretaker Johnnie Jackson fulfil his Charlton Athletic dream.
The Addicks’ dismal start to a League One season that was supposed to be about a promotion push saw Nigel Adkins sacked towards the end of October, having won just two out of 13 league matches.
Jackson –a Charlton legend in his playing days and assistant manager under Lee Bowyer and then Adkins – was swiftly handed the reins on a temporary basis.
