AS THE PFA, FA and PGMOL come together to encourage former professional players to board a fast-track into refereeing, I was left wondering how it’s taken so long!
Aside from the obvious fitness advantages which professional players will offer, their experience and reading of situations must have immeasurable benefits when it comes to getting decisions right.
