IT WAS probably the European Super League plans in April that brought how football operates in this country truly into the public spotlight.
While the greedy clubs – including English football’s so-called ‘big six’ – were soon forced to backtrack quicker than Usain Bolt in his pomp and the whole thing unravelled in a matter of days, it set the alarm bells ringing at how the game is run.
Fair Game, a group of 25 clubs supported by 40 renowned football experts, are one of the positive things to spring up since.
