I WAS lucky enough to be at the first game of the season as Bournemouth hosted West Brom – and it proved a fantastic advert for the Championship.
The Baggies showed real character to come back twice and Scott Parker’s Bournemouth showed glimpses of how good they can be with some excellent football.
The key take-away for me was how direct Valerien Ismael’s side were. I suppose it shouldn’t have come as a surprise given how he set out his Barnsley side last season.
