ASHTON EXCITED BY CEO ROLE AT IPSWICH

MARK Ashton is relishing the opportunity to take Ipswich forward after his departure as Bristol City chief executive was announced.
Ashton spent more than five years working for the Robins, but will take on a similar position at Portman Road in June.
Ashton said: “I am delighted to be joining. There is a lot of hard work that lies ahead and I am genuinely excited at the opportunity to take the club forward.
