First game you watched live?
I was actually a Newcastle fan growing up, but the first game I went to was at the Stadium of Light after I’d signed for Sunderland as a youngster. I’d have been about 12 and they brought us out at half-time to play five-a-side on the pitch. I think Sunderland were playing Liverpool and it must have been in the late 90s.
First football hero?
That was Peter Schmeichel, without a doubt. I wasn’t a Manchester United fan but I’d always watch them in Europe and I was a bit obsessed with him.I’d ask for the same...
