MILLWALL are the first ever winners of Cancer Deadline Day’s giving league - after Lions fans clubbed together to raise more than £10,000 for a consortium of eight cancer charities.
The south London club embraced the transfer window to call on their fans to ‘make a transfer for cancer’ to help charities tackling the disease. Millwall’s fans and players responded brilliantly, including 84-yearold supporter Charlie Harris, who has terminal cancer.
