The Football League Paper says… Cardiff job is great chance for Big Mac

MICK McCarthy wasn’t going to step back into English club management for any old job. It had to be one where he could see a chance to achieve something special.
That wasn’t the case in the latter years at his previous club Ipswich. The resources were skimpy and his job was, in essence, to keep the Tractor Boys in the Championship. His backers will no doubt point to Ipswich’s slide since he left as a sign of how well he performed, though the Suffolk club have shot themselves in the foot with some of their decisions in the meantime.
