EFL BUMP UP TESTING AT CLUBS

PFA foot bill as positives rise

TWICE weekly Covid-19 testing is set for launch at all 72 EFL clubs starting tomorrow – and it couldn’t be better timed.
On Friday, the EFL revealed that the latest round of mandated Covid-19 tests saw 112 individuals test positive from 3,507 players and club staff from 66 EFL clubs over the course of the past week.
Those sobering statistics indicate it’s the perfect moment to ramp up testing in the EFL, and the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) have agreed to foot the bill.
