VERNAM HAILED BY BEARDSLEY

LEAGUE ONE

BURTON first-team coach Chris Beardsley believes striker Charles Vernam is “going to be a good asset” for the club.
The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Grimsby, made it two goals in two games heading into the weekend with his strike at Sunderland in midweek.
Beardsley said: “He is a young lad, he has talent, had a bit of a stop-start to his Burton career. But he is an attacking threat.
“He is going to be a good asset for us.”
