BARNSLEY captain Alex Mowatt was surprised his strike at Millwall scooped the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award for October – because he felt his goal the following week was even better!
A stunning left-foot volley in the 1-1 draw against the Lions proved enough for the 25-yearold midfielder to take the prize.
He beat off competition from Preston’s Jayden Stockley and Reading’s Yakou Meite, picking up 47 per cent of the public vote. How...
