A YOUNG football coach or manager will not learn about the realities of the job whilst completing a B, A or Pro Licence qualification. The harsh realities are only faced once you are in post and doing the job.
Recently, a young coach messaged me on LinkedIn to ask for some guidance and it took me back to a point in my career when I was asking those questions of my elders. One mentor for me was Sir Alex Ferguson.
