IN-FORM Accrington Stanley ruined John Sheridan’s first home match in charge of Swindon by storming to a 3-0 win on Tuesday night.
There was an unfortunate start for the Robins when goalkeeper Joe Fryer slipped as he attempted to clear a back pass and netted a sixth-minute own goal.
Stanley doubled their lead on 25 minutes when Colby Bishop headed home and it was all over by the break after Dion Charles tapped home on 38 minutes. The victory lifted John Coleman’s men to tenth and they have games in hand on all the teams above them in the table.
