Two lifts in a week is delight for Dale

STAR MAN MATTHEW LUND Rochdale

VICTORIOUS Brian Barry-Murphy admitted he was impressed with his Rochdale side’s efforts after securing all three league points for the second time in a week with success at Shrewsbury Town.
First-half goals from Oliver Rathbone and Alex Newby set Rochdale on their way after their midweek triumph at Burton Albion.
Aaron Pierre reduced the deficit for Shrewsbury on the stroke of half-time, but Rochdale stood firm to come out on top, with goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu making a fine late save from Marlon Fossey’s header.
