Forest’s spirited second- half performance just about merited the three points, but such was their sloppiness that the Reds were fortunate to encounter a Blackburn side shredded to the bare bones.
Chris Hughton has a lot of work to do if this team is to contend for the top six, and the signing of Knockaert will certainly help.
