LAST season will go into the record books as the season that changed the fortunes of many clubs based on a system that lacked sporting integrity. It is the easiest thing in the world to be critical of any solution.
However, when the prizes at stake are so high for so many, and when the strategies in play may be longer rather than shorter games, it simply cannot be right to ignore certain basics such as points forecast to be won at home and points forecast to be won away; games played against top teams and games played against bottom teams.
