First game you watched live?
That would have been Liverpool against Blackburn when I was 10 or 11. I went with my uncle who was a Liverpool fan.
I can’t remember the score – I can barely remember the scores of games I played in last week! – but I remember the stands, the fans and the ground being so much bigger than it had all looked from the TV.
First football hero?
Ryan Giggs, definitely. I must have had four or five VHS tapes of him in action and his Reebok...
