MIDDLESBROUGH boss Jonathan Woodgate has been boosted with the news that defender Anfernee Dijksteel is closing in on a return to action – along with several other key players.
The full-back, 23, suffered a knee injury in November and Boro have endured a tricky time with a number of defensive players unavailable.
Woodgate hopes Dijksteel will make his return to the training field before the end of February.
“Dijksteel has been back in training, and we’ll look to get him 70 minutes in a friendly,” Woodgate said.
