WHEN Premier League clubs voted to change the summer transfer window deadline a few days ago, it didn’t take long to realise there would be repercussions elsewhere.
You may remember it was a couple of years ago that the top-flight clubs decided to shut the window just before the season kicked off. The idea was a good one – to avoid disruption for clubs, players and managers once the action was under way.
