SEARS HAS POMPEY IN HIS SIGHTS

FREDDIE Sears has targeted Ipswich’s trip to Portsmouth before Christmas to make his long-awaited return to first-team action.
The 30-year-old striker has been out since February after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but has made his comeback for Town’s under-23 side.
Sears said: “It’s been a long road back. I took a few tackles and blocks that you don’t really get in training, but it was important to get through that physical side of it.
